Suomen kielen kurssien tasotesti

Eiran aikuislukion suomen kielen kurssien tasotestissä on kaksi osaa. Testi suoritetaan täysin etänä (verkossa). Tarvitset testiä varten tietokoneen ja vakaan internet-yhteyden.

Ensimmäisessä osassa luetaan suomenkielinen teksti videolle. Käyttämässäsi tietokoneessa täytyy siis olla toimiva kamera ja mikrofoni. Testin toinen osa koostuu kirjallisesta osiosta ja sanelusta. Sanelua varten tarvitset kaiuttimet tai kuulokkeet. Testin suorittaminen onnistuu normaalilla internet-selaimella. Sinun ei tarvitse siis ladata mitään ohjelmaa testin tekemistä varten, jos käytät tietokonetta.

Sinulla on 3 tuntia aikaa tehdä testi. Testi täytyy palauttaa, ennen kuin aika loppuu. Testiä ei voi palauttaa myöhässä.

Testin aikana sinulla on mahdollisuus saada teknistä tukea Zoomin kautta.

Testi selvittää, mikä on sinulle sopiva kurssi ja on tärkeää, että testi näyttää sinun oikeat taitosi. Tee siis testi itse, älä kysy apua muilta (paitsi teknisiin ongelmiin) ja älä käytä esim. sanakirjaa. Jos osaat vain vähän suomea, yritä silti tehdä kaikki tehtävät, jotka pystyt. Jotkut kysymykset (esimerkiksi lukutehtävä ja sanelu) ovat pakollisia kaikille, myös vasta-alkajille.

Jos sinulla ei ole tietokonetta käytössäsi, voit suorittaa testin ensimmäisen osan käyttämällä kahta mobiililaitetta (esim. kaksi älypuhelinta). Tätä varten sinun tulee ladata kummallekin laitteelle Flip-sovellus. Näin voit avata luettavan tekstin yhdelle laitteelle ja käyttää toista laitetta videon tallentamiseen. Testin toisen osan voi suorittaa mobiililaitteella ja sitä varten ei tarvitse ladata sovelluksia.

Level test of Finnish language courses

The Eira High School for Adults placement test for Finnish courses consists of two parts. The test is held online. You will need a computer and a stable internet connection for the test.

The first part is a reading test in which you will have to read a text in Finnish on video. For this your computer needs to have a webcam and a microphone. The second part of the test consists of a written part and a dictation. You will need speakers or headphones for the dictation. All parts of the test should be possible to complete without having to download any software. The test should run with a normal internet browser when using a computer. 

You’ll have 3 hours to complete the test. The test needs to be submitted before the test time ends. The test cannot be submitted after the test time runs out.

There will be a Zoom link available for technical support during the test.

The purpose of the test is to find out the right course level for you. That’s why it’s important that the test measures your actual language level. Please do the test by yourself, don’t ask for help (other than technical) and don’t use a dictionary or Google translator etc. If you know no or very little Finnish, try to complete as many parts of the test as you can anyway. Some parts are compulsory (e.g. video and dictation) for absolute beginners as well.

If you don’t have a computer, the first part of the test can be completed with two mobile devices (e.g. two smart phones). For this to work you’ll have to download the Flip app for both devices. This way you can open the text you’re supposed to read on one device and use the other one for recording the video. The second part can be completed with one mobile device without having to download any apps.
